'ATYPICAL' COINS, Edessa type. Elagabalus. AD 218-222. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 13.60 g, 11h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right set on eagle standing right, holding wreath in beak / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; small shrine between legs. Prieur 1727 (this coin illustrated). Some porosity. Good VF. Extremely rare – the only one known to Prieur.
